Thanks to you and our many wonderful supporters, Mater Dolorosa has provided spiritual growth for 100 years! The Passionists purchased this property in 1924 and have offered retreats since 1926! This is a powerful testament that the retreat ministry at Mater Dolorosa is an important and necessary ministry to the thousands of people who come to the mountain every year for Passionist retreats, to pray the Stations of the Cross, or simply feel closer to peace on our beautiful grounds. A retreat at Mater Dolorosa offers solitude and silence, a time to stand apart from the pressures of the day ~ to reflect, to pray, and to be restored by the love of Christ. Thank you for promoting the Passionist charism of preaching, hospitality and compassion for 100 years!
